Gelato Grand Champion Tropy
Oppenheimer is proud to have sponsored the Grand Champion Trophy for the Royal Queensland Food and Wine Show 2011, Ice Cream, Gelato and Sorbets.
As a pioneer of the Artisan Gelato and Ice Cream industry in Australia, Oppenheimer approaches its 20th year in the business of supplying gelato and ice cream ingredients , and is proud to have sponsored the Grand Champion Trophy for what has become arguably the most progressive competition for Gelato and Ice Cream makers in the country. Recognising that Gelato, Ice Cream and Sorbet all compete in the same market place is probably long overdue.
Judging of the products is done entirely by judges selected by the council of the RNA, and are completely independent of all sponsor companies and supporters.

The unrefined Himalayan Crystal Salt is mined at the foot of the Himalayas (the “Salt Range”) and developed more than 500 million years ago from a primordial ocean. It is mined by hand. The Crystal Salt is free from pollutants and additives.

CeramicLine from Victorinox
Ceramic knives are becoming increasingly popular: The benefits are the best possible cutting quality, the blade remaining sharp over a very long period and the blade's neutrality with regard to taste.
The blades of ceramic knives are manufactured from high-purity zirconium oxide powder, compressed at very high pressure and sintered in special sintering furnaces at temperatures of 1500°C. This results in a blade that has an extremely high level of hardness. Ceramic is almost as hard as diamond.
Thanks to ceramic material, the knife is very light and weighs only half as much as a steel knife of the same size.
It is resistant to corrosion and, thanks to its smooth surface, is insensitive to acids. As a result of the high level of hardness, the blades remain sharp for a very long time. As a result of the high density of the surface, ceramic knives are very easy to clean for: simply damp wipe, dry and carefully store in the protective cover.
